Air Jordan 1
The Revolutionary Beginning
The Air Jordan 1, designed by Peter Moore, first came out in 1985. It's special because it was Michael Jordan's very first signature shoe, and it's famous for violating the NBA's uniform rules. Jordan got fined $5,000 every time he wore them, but Nike happily paid it! This controversy, along with Jordan's incredible playing, instantly made the shoe famous and secured its spot in sneaker history. The original "Bred" (black and red) colorway is iconic. Its simple yet powerful design, featuring the Nike Swoosh and the Wings logo, set the stage for the entire Jordan Brand. It's still one of the most popular Jordans, re-released often and loved by sneakerheads and everyday wearers for its timeless look and historical importance.
