Collection: Yeezy

The Cultural Shifter

Yeezy is a fashion brand and media company founded by Kanye West (now known as Ye) in 2013. While Yeezy initially encompassed apparel, its most impactful and widely recognized aspect has been its footwear collaborations, most notably with Adidas. The partnership with Adidas began in 2013, leading to the debut of the first Adidas Yeezy Boost sneaker, the Yeezy Boost 750, in 2015 during New York Fashion Week. This was quickly followed by the immensely popular Yeezy Boost 350, which became a cultural phenomenon with its distinctive Primeknit upper and Boost cushioning. Yeezy's design aesthetic is characterized by minimalist color palettes, unique silhouettes, and comfort-focused technology. Kanye's vision for accessibility clashed with the limited release model initially employed by Adidas, but the brand significantly democratized sneaker culture by introducing new shapes and making them widely desirable. Despite the termination of the Adidas partnership in late 2022 due to controversial statements by Kanye West, Yeezy products remain highly influential and sought after in the secondary market, showcasing the brand's immense impact on fashion and footwear.
